NEW OPPORTUNITY FOR AOC MEMBERS
2028 MILLER INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL AWARD

Opportunity presented by the International Affairs Committee of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (AAPOS) and supported by the Children’s Eye Foundation of AAPOS. The International Affairs Committee (IAC) of AAPOS is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the 2028 Marilyn Miller Travel Award. These awards provide financial support for the recipient to attend the 2028 AAPOS Annual Meeting in San Diego, March 22-26. Applicants may apply for the award here

Each awardee will receive a $6,500 grant to support expenses related to attending the AAPOS Annual Meeting, including registration, lodging, meals, and travel. Applications are due July 10, 2026.

To be eligible, applicants must be able to obtain a visa by October 1, 2027 for the 2028 award. Due to increasing visa processing times, the IAC is beginning the application process earlier to ensure ample time for completion. This award is offered in partnership with the Children’s Eye Foundation of AAPOS, and we extend our sincere thanks to the donors whose generous support makes these awards possible. You may donate directly to the grant here. Eligible international colleagues are encouraged to apply and take advantage of this opportunity to engage with the AAPOS community.
